I received this Chicken Wound Care ProGel through Amazon Vine. It’s a 4 oz jar of a clear-ish gel with coconut oil and aloe vera, marketed as a stay-put formula for poultry skin and feather issues.
The consistency is thicker than most sprays or thin ointments I’ve used on chickens before. It actually stays where you put it instead of running off, which is helpful when you’re treating a restless bird or a wound that’s hard to keep clean. Application is straightforward — just dab or gently spread a thin layer over the cleaned area. No strong smell, and it doesn’t seem sticky once it sets a bit.
I used it on a couple of minor pecking spots and a small abrasion. The gel kept the area moisturized without making a greasy mess in the feathers, and the birds didn’t seem bothered by it. Coconut oil and aloe are nice gentle ingredients for skin support. The jar size is decent for occasional use; a little goes a long way.
A couple of small notes:
It’s a gel, so it’s better for localized spots than large areas (you might prefer a spray for bigger wounds).
Make sure the wound is clean first — this is more of a protective/hydrating layer than a deep cleaner.
Overall, a solid addition to the chicken first-aid kit if you prefer a gel that doesn’t drip. Made in the USA is a plus. Would buy again for minor skin and feather support.

Here on the ranch, we have a couple dozen chickens, and as with all animals, they're bound to get hurt or have some health-related issues eventually, so when I saw this I ordered it. Coincidentally, nearly immediately after receiving it, we had a young chick that has a bum leg, and we've started applying this to it, and she's getting better.

We have other livestock, along with their species-specific treatments, so I was glad to get this, since it's primarily meant for chickens and other poultry. That being said, it can also be used on other animals.
